Upon the passing of a loved one, many people end up acquiring jewelry keepsakes, and most have no clue what to do with them. Often times much of it is out of fashion, unwearable, or simply not someone’s style. Some items you may truly love and want to keep as a memory of the loved one that past. Other items you may want to explore the option of selling or possibly redesigning the piece into something more wearable.

On other items we may decide to discuss the possibility of breaking the piece apart from its original form and custom designing it into one or more new, more wearable pieces. Below is a perfect example of that process where an antique diamond was pulled from a vintage brooch, that was simply not the customer’s style, and we decided to turn it into a simple yet elegant 18kt yellow gold necklace that they could enjoy wearing on an everyday basis.
